Avery PTO presents Fall Festival, October 23, 6 PM to 9 PM. Sensory Friendly Hour 5 PM to 6 PM, dedicated to welcoming guests with visible and invisible disabilities, along with their families. Games, prizes, food, raffle, fun.

Avery Fall Festival

You are invited to the Avery Fall Festival this October 23 from 6 pm - 9 pm. Fall Festival is an old-fashioned carnival with games, a bounce house, the 5th grade Haunted Hallway, food, and fun, all while fund-raising for the Avery PTO.

New this year: Sensory Hour, 5–6 PM!

Before the festival opens to everyone, we're dedicating 5–6 PM to welcoming guests with visible and invisible disabilities, along with their families. This hour will offer a calmer, lower-sensory environment so every child and family can enjoy the fun on their own terms. Guests may enter at the dedicated entrance on Marshall Ave.

We can't wait to see you there!

Fall Fest Q&A

Your burning questions, answered with slightly-too-much enthusiasm. Tap a question to open it.

What is Fall Fest, and what do I need to know?

On Friday, October 23, from 6–9 p.m., Avery transforms into an old-fashioned carnival with games, a bounce house, and the 5th grade Haunted Hallway!

THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. All kids need an adult present who is responsible for them.

We love your kids. We cannot adopt them for the evening.

What's the new Sensory Friendly Hour? What's the Calm Corner?

5–6 p.m., before the festival opens to everyone. We're welcoming guests with visible and invisible disabilities and their families to a calmer, lower-sensory environment, so every child and family can enjoy the fun on their own terms. Use the dedicated entrance on Marshall Ave.

Calm Corner: Join Avery Parents for Equity in the library for calm art activities throughout Fall Festival. Questions or suggestions? Email averyequity@gmail.com.

During the festival25¢$5 = 20 tickets

Or grab the NEW wristband: unlimited games and the Haunted Hallway, plus up to 2 popcorn, 2 cotton candy, and 2 Teacher Raffle entries.

Before the festival$25
During the festival$30

Tickets for counters. Wristbands for everyone else.

Where do I buy tickets and wristbands?

Best way to buy: in person! Stop by the Fall Festival Table outside Avery before and after school, October 19–23. We take cash, checks (payable to Avery PTO), and cards, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can't make it? Order ahead online through 10/22. Your order comes home with your student.

Cash, check, card, or phone. Basically everything but a pinky promise.

Will there be food? Asking for my entire family.

Yes! Cotton candy and popcorn are on the game-ticket menu, and there's plenty more to purchase:

  • Avery Cub Scouts: hotdogs, burgers, treats, and drinks
  • Girl Scouts: pizza and treats
  • Senior High Marketing students: treats
  • Kona Ice
  • Millie's Boba Lemonade

Food and tables/chairs are in the teachers' parking lot.

Dinner: handled. Just eat it outside. No food or drink in the buildings!

Why should I enter the Grand Raffle?

It supports Avery PTO and a new playground, and the prizes are awesome. Raffle entries are $5 each, or 5 entries to one prize for $20. Checking out through our online store automatically enters you to win. You can also buy digital entries with cash or check at the Fall Festival Table outside Avery, before and after school, October 19–23.

How can I help? I have two hands and a calendar.

We need VOLUNTEERS! “All Hands on Deck!” It works if an adult from each family covers a 60-minute shift, and responsible middle and high schoolers are welcome too. We also need SNACKS for the Snack Attack: cookies, brownies, or a big bag of cheese puffs. Nothing that needs refrigeration, and options for kids with food restrictions are welcome. Drop snacks off on Friday, October 23, before or after school at the Fall Festival Table.

Sign up to volunteer or see the shift details below.

Many hands make light work. Cheese puffs make it better.

My question isn't here! Now what?

Text us at 314-399-8721. We're friendly, we promise.
